Hi all,
I just started a new game and it seems to have been created with the German version of Stars!
To try and level the playing field, can someone match up the starting ships with both their German and English names please.
To start off:
Raumstation = Starbase (is this correct?)
Thanks

I'm in the same game and I noticed the same thing, you can rename the existing ships to something more meaningful. You can't however rename the existing designs but you can copy them and give them your own name so you know what they are. All you need to do then is delete the initial designs once the starting ships have been scrapped/destroyed.
I can't see a way of renaming the starbases however if you copy the design without changing anything but the name you can rebuild it for free which has the same effect and then delete the old design.

Hi,
being German (and in Fledgling Admirals II like you ), I can confirm that a "Raumstation" is German for a space station.

Oh damn! Is that true? I've never given it a thought.
Nevertheless everything should be quite obvious... well, and I better generate the next game with an English version. (Except I get tempted to spread German a bit this way. After all it's a great language: not really of much use for singing but since it is a very correct and defining language good for philosophy and... war.)
