or AR's alternate reality Laughing

I think that it would be interesting if AR would be like Vorlons. Energy beings capable for inhabiting planets and space stations.
not dying in transport.
different tech tree.

still thinking about mine and factories.
the idea is that it should be a strong race instead of the weak one we have now.

Unsure btw what you talk about. Surprised How its weak? Shocked AR has a number of strong features already:
Deal Mineral fountain late game.
Deal Immunity to pop-dropping.
Deal Immunity to packets.
Deal Little colonies have good resources.
Deal Big breeders grow lots of pop even at lower racial growth rates like 14%.
Deal No investing into planetary facilities.
Deal Colony capacity is not limited by its value.

Just for a record: Bigger games (i consider medium universe big)i have been in were won by AR, SD or IS; Smaller games were mostly won by JOAT or IT monsters. Other PRT-s are been less successful. Nod

Part of the reason people consider it "weak" is they don't think about evacuating all but 100 colonists before a fight at their planet - so even if they lost the starbase, if they control orbit they could just recolonize the next turn and have their planet back. if they don't control orbit, they can shift the colonists off somewhere else to produce resources until the orbit is clear and they can recolonize.

Haven't played much AR lately. some time ago it just lagged behind in resources when compared with any other race I made, be it in end-game or mid- or early-game.

- pop dieing in transit.
- early vulnerable colonies.
- IMO low resources in beginning and mid-game
1612 res from one Space Station sucks and that is with 26 energy level.
and with ener. level 10 it is 1000
building well armed space station, not to speak Ultra Station or Death Star ain't easy.
in War you could be wiped out before you get the latest and strongest station up.

it takes longer time to BBQ a normal race out of planet than it takes to eliminate AR colony.

You don't have as many total resources, but those resources are all available for research, terraforming, and shipbuilding. You don't have to spend anything on ramping factories.
Keep in mind that the more evenly spread (taking hab% into account) your population is, the more total resources you get.
And it's much quicker and easier to toss together a Death Star and gate in some midgetminers than to build 1700 factories and 1700 mines.
Don't rely on the stations to defend themselves. Intercept your enemies in space.
