Replacent needed for Diadochi Wars

I'm seeking a replacement for a player who has missed 5 turns. He has been active throughout except for 3 (I think) turns when he had a PC problem a while back.

The player is an AR & his ranking is #10 of 14. Though it is unlikely he can win, he could play a significant role anyway. I am hosting this game so I do not have intimate knowledge of his race, alliances, etc. Public scores were declared in 2480 so that info can easily be supplied.

It is now 2483 (probably 2484 by the time a replacement can join). I will hold the game for a few days after the 2484 gen.

I do not have the .h file but I understand that I could get it from Ron? Can someone confirm that?

If you are interested please let me know. I would need to contact Donjon for the race password since, as host, I am not privacy to that (hopefully he still has it from when he set up the game).

As donjon said only the original player can provide the .h file. As host you can ask Ron for the last 5 years of backup to recreate the .h file over those turns, but if the race already skipped 5 turns than that data is already in the one large .m file.
BTW there is a .m file splitter to chop the large .m file into pieces.

What you can do as a host to provide a .h file for a replacement is to have *all* turns mailed to you. You can then (by opening and save+submitting each turn) recreate the .h file. Of course you need the PW for that race or ask Ron to do it for you.
In case you do not wish to have all .m files mailed to you I'm offering that "service" for 3 games ATM, I'm letting all turns of those games get mailed to a yahoo account ...
Note that races set to inactive can *not* have their turns mailed out ...

Should donjon no longer have the PW or if the player changed it (please let donjon check this, keep in mind he can not download the current turn without also having the up/download PW) you should contact Ron before this gen so he can reset the PW right away. The reset takes one turn so that would add another missed turn for the replacment ...
