Unfortunately none of those file are located at that site, but at the now-offline Quasi Stars! site (http://www.wodzu.tonet.pl/stars/info/info.php4)

Extreme Borders is dlXB.zip
StarEd I have, and one of the filenames is a typo(fixed).

Drakhyulla,Ptolemy: can I have copies? never heard of them...

afaik combine.exe was created by leit to combine .p## and/or .f## files to assist in team co-ordination for the EACvsIRC game.

combine actually has several versions, for different games I've needed it to do different things. For RWIAB it helped optimize IS pop management (which gets very complex if you want to optimize it for sustaining overpop).

For EACvsIRC it was used to plan joint scouting and OA movements for the team. Also used to get a better idea of how we were doing (PPS without PPS being turned on). It also fed Kurt's spreadsheet (TT8v2) with a combined .p file from everyone on the team.

It's on my todo list to put a clean copy of the EACvsIRC version up on SourceForge soon.

Heh Smile No doubt you already got most of them (uc, strategy guide, ...) could be some just contain different versions ... Did not have time to check last night and they all have those nice cryptic 8.3 DOS names that say nothing about the content. Smile

Here are some of them, some with a brief description, no time to go into details, already spend 2hrs going through most of them and trying them out ... some are older/other versions of what you already have ... some are ancient! Laughing As in "only DOS". Smile

Sorry, if you already have some of them, I might have missed them in the wiki ...

dpacket3.xls - Dog's Multiple-Packet Calculator

hab.zip - by Patrick Van Oosterwijck (I know how this one works! Smile Patrick is one of the friends I went to univ with that sucked me into Stars! many many years ago, this was the first utility I got my hands on!)

habs.zip - probably yet another hab program of the Stars! Golden Age

Stars! Packet Damage Calculator.htm - by Allyn Craig

Pben - Stars! Population Growth Rate Study.zip - related to pben3 I suppose

pfc.zip - The Packet Flinger Calculator, version 1.0

PLC.zip - Packet Location Calculator v1.0 (instead of v1.0.1)

psniff_beta.zip - Planet Sniffer beta (instead of version 0.5)
BTW http://wiki.gible.net/files/Planet_Sniffer.rar is not available?

starbmp.zip - all bitmap pictures from Stars! ... not a utility and probably available somewhere else, not sure where I got them from ...

starinfo.zip - StarInfo version 1.0
(This is a heavyweight windows 95 implementation of the DOS starstat.exe program by Hilton Lange.)

starmap.zip (earlier version of starmap10.zip?)

StarMapper.rar
Starmapper 1.02 - Very brief description is: Starmapper is a mapping utility for Stars!. It takes reports generated by the game and generates a map showing approximate empire territories.

starpwr.zip - StarPower - mail utility for hosts

starsinfo.zip - Stars Info (v1.07)
Stars Info is written by me (Dave Wells) because I couldn't find a utitlity which did what I wanted it to do. i.e. allow me to see planet information given to me by another player and display that using an interface similar to Stars. In addition to that I wanted to know what value these planets would be if I colonised them.

starstat.zip - utility mentioned above? made by Hilton Lange?

10 zips or so left to check, I see some called uc.zip, probably versions of the Universe Creator ... those are for later ...
If there are links not working just drop me a note. I'd be happy to help find out how some of the utils work and write up a description for the wiki, "as soon as I have some time" ...

Also these links are temporary!

Seems to the the result of the study vs pben3 being a calculator for it.

BTW
http://wiki.starsautohost.org/files/Planet_Sniffer.rar
is not available?

I've fixed the broken link and added the new zip...the wiki refuses to left me have spaces in the filesnames, but the contents are identical. :/
Need 0.5 now I guess Smile

I thought the rar would contain the 0.5 but I couldn't check. I have the 0.5 at home and will post a link.

As for the file names with spaces, those are the original file names the files had when I downloaded them at that time. Just as a note for when searching the net ...

BTW, maybe good to have a direct link at the main page to the utilities page? (or is that already there?)

noted Smile I should probably edit the spaces back in and change it to use external links(I think that will work), but meh.

it's already there as 3rd party programs in the main entry points, but I've added it to the navigation sidebar.

Impressive list! Pirate Very Happy

I wonder, even if it might be a little off topic, about the Mother of all Betas, SSGN beta itself. Not Worthy Cool Or would that perhaps be forever buried under nondisclosure/copyright concerns? Evil or Very Mad
