How accurate are the time to completion estimates in the production queue? It seems to know that if you build mineral alchemy before something that needs it, you will successfully complete it. Does it take into account planet growth? Mines and factories built before the item in the queue?

It's one of those client side features that is trickier to implement when you have to worry about predicting the future of a planet. Smile

Stars is quite accurate actually, the only thing I've noticed it doesn't take into account is the orbitals in the queue..ie if you build a bare orbital hull and then the same orbital hull with eg a massdriver the cost and time is the same as just building the second orbital but it calculates the costs and duration as if the first orbital wasn't in the queue.

I suggest you look the OoE first.

growth happens after production and mining happens before production (so mines built this turn dont mine). Nod
factories built this turn also do not produce resources this turn but its not OoE issue.

What prediction does not take into account (but affects the actual production):
things from scraps (including UR scraps resources and miniaturization from scrap tech trade gains),
WP0 transport orders (including WP0 ground battles),
arrived packets impact (not minerals and not damage)
IS overflowed people (including their ability to operate facilities)
AR remote mining done by the miners arrived same turn.
Also like gible said multiple orbitals built in a row are estimated wrongly.
Cool
