Greetings to all of you die hard Stars! fans.
I have decided to create and host a game for you all.
Details and Restrictions:
Game Name: Restrictions/Cut-throat
Universe:
Small / packed / galaxy clumping
Accelerated BBS
Banned PRT's: CA, IT, JOAT
NO Immunities *(see HE Exception)
Turn generation: Monday through Friday fixed gen time 0600 GMT
Max habitability 1 in 4 *(see HE exception)
Race restrictions:
SS - 10 points left over set to defenses
SD - 20 points left over set to defenses
Addional SD restriction - NO mini minelayers may be built
The only mini minelayers allowed will be the ships that the
SD starts with
IS - 30 points left over set to defenses
Additional IS restriction - NO fuel transports may be built
AR - no restriction
WM - no restriction
PP - no restriction
HE: HE's are allowed to be bi-immune with max habitability at 1 in 2.
No more than 2 players will be accepted for any PRT.
I will only be hosting this game - I will not be playing. Therefore, do not password protect your game file. This will make it easier to find a replacement if someone drops. I will also require periodic .h file updates
The game will start with a minimum of 6 players with no PRT duplications.
Alliances: - an alliance may win BUT, pre-game alliances are forbidden; Alliance restriction - no more than a 2 player alliance will be allowed to claim victory.
Standard cheats disclaimer: chaff is allowed.
I will monitor the game for fairness to all players. I will also be available for advice and to mediate any disputes (none should arise)
During the game, any player may e-mail me and ask for strategic advice. I will look at the turn for that player and give him/her my 2 cents worth.
Since the game is open to all players regardless of skill level, I will advise a player if a race is submitted that has no chance of being competitive, and provide modification recommendations.

What's the gen schedule?
I know I haven't been very reliable in the past but I didn't have a laptop then to wardrive with.  I'll play if there's enough spots left but won't take one away from someone else who wants in.

So far, only one player has expressed interest. Gen schedule will be 24 hours a day, 5 day a week until somewhere around 2440-2450 when it can changed to a 48 hour gen or whatever by player vote.

Any chance of making it a large Universe please heheh? 
I never last the distance in tiny/small Universe games cus to many better players than me to close to me trying to kill me (and succeeding)

It is probable that no one else will join the game since only 2 PRTs left. Remaining PRTs may not attract next players. Furthermore, 6th player has to choose between 2 PRTs, while 7th will be able to choose from all allowed in the game.
Should not we stretch the rules and permit to duplicate PRTs?

In the interest of getting this game started, iojho has a good point. I will accept one more player at minimum and new players may choose from any of the allowed PRT's (pay attention to the race restrictions please).
I will send a mail to some players I know as well to see if they would like to join.
With one more player, we will start this game. Time is short freinds - send your interest and race files - one week left. Then, the game begins.
As soon as I get the sixth player, I will do the work to ensure a nice even start with galactic positions and, all HW's will have reasonably decent mineral concentrations, since that will help the game go fast. No HW will start below 50 concentration in any mineral.

Ptolemy, I havent got time at the mo (race file I mean) but I will join to if thats OK. Might as well - gives me the chance to play a game with a PRT I never used before. I will send my race file this evening if thats OK.
