You make race design rules, however as playing host you may not check if people are obeying them. Nod
So maybe update your first posting that you search experienced co-host who checks all races and setups the game.

Could someone supply a translation, please ?

I might want to join this game, but I will have to find/make a suitable race first.

And I have to make sure Stars! works correctly now that I am running Windows XP Pro instead of Windows 2000

Edit: Why doesn't that image link work Rolling Eyes

Well, at least mine does, and this is the second computer with XP pro I run it under. Very Happy

I'm even recklessly swapping/modifying turn files between this machine and my trusty W2000, so far without adverse effects. Rolling Eyes Sherlock Whip

I will do that when I know which race file I will be using.

M.A., have you been using compatability mode to run Stars! on Windows XP, or will it run straight off ?

Straight off. Cool If there's any compatability involved, it must be under the hood. Very Happy

Hi,
I would like to start as soon as it is possible. However, only two players have joined the game so far, including me Embarassed . So the response is rather poor. Hope more players willing play will aplly soon. There are not many game announcements at SAH currently. Similar games filled up within several days year ago.

If you have any ideas regarding concept of the game, please feel free to present them. Perhaps, they would attract more players.

I am willing to join if you make it medium/dense or medium/normal. Cant join with a medium/packed ... it takes too lot of time.

Ok, so it will be dense. I would not like to decrease density to normal since the assumption of the game is to gather at least 12 players. So even though that density is set to dense, galaxy will be crowded.

Assuming this will take a little while to fill up, I will work on a race this weekend and join as well. I will likely expire about then in my current game, freeing up time for another one. Let's see, what sort of goal is worth setting for this one? To have taken over three homeworlds by 2460... I guess that'll do.

IMO game full of players is more interesting and therefore worth for waiting longer (of course not too long).

Provisionally sign me up please.

I do need to double check to see just how much work medium-dense is likely to be, in case I survive to late game Laughing Been playing too many smaller games lately though, so it would be nice to play something as large as medium Laughing

Thats a good point. If it goes to large count me out. Medium is my absolute limit.
