Ja ne dumaju chto zdes` ostalos` mnogo russkogovorjashih... Da i potom kakaje tebe raznica ?
Why only russians ? Better define skill level IMO.

In the 1997-1999 there were some skilled folks here- they mostly went to play on their own servers in Novosibirsk and Moscow/St.Petersburg. Last time I checked - those servers were dead as of 2005.

Now there is a russian "clone" game called real4x.ru - pretty much ripped from the Stars! with persistent universe concept. I've heard in some games there were 100+ people involved - ironically it was not as fun as the original Stars! (Due to the persistent concept, large alliances forming, people gang-banging etc.)
However, real4x had some interesting ideas in terms of in-game MM and general concepts (like restrictions on leader-lastplace races relations etc)

I am also currently working on a Stars! mod that (I truly hope) will revive this old classic - now only if had more time

This game is Real4X, not real4x.ru (it's only one of the servers, it's the Petersburg server)

Actually, the difference is vast. Some things are made more useful, and Real4X is a real-time game in contrast Stars. This "feature" gives much joy, but it is a serious disadvantage at once: you need too much free time to play this game. The failure is assured unless you spend most of your time to your race

Po krainei mere ya znayu 5 (igrayushih) russkogovoryuashih igrokov na etom forume (ne schitaya teh kto prisutstvuet v etom obsuzdenii) + ya sam (izvinite ne mogy k vam prisoedinitza, t.k. uzhe igrayu v odnu igru, a dlya dvuh vremeni uz sovsem ne khvatit).
Chto kasaetsya "why only russians" - ya dumayu chto takaya igra mozhet imet' ochen' bolshoi smysl dlya "anglo-ne/plokho-govoryashih".

As for current game proposal, I suggest host to define more game details, such as race restrictions, schedule, bugs/features. And if no enough russian-speaking players will found within month, you probably can allow non-russian players to join this game.

Khmm. As I see this game didn't started yet. And I guess it will not happend.
Looks like this thread have to be moved to "The Bar" as a game idea and may be in future it will take place.

Just check it out - new game is announced there recently.
