Random Team Game on autohost |

Looking for 16 players for a "normal" random team game. That is to say the players submit their race files and I randomly decide the teams. I need passworded files with a note as to which PRT you have.
I am open to suggestions of what YOU the players would like to see as a universe and rules. I am open to suggestions.
I would just like a normal game with dedicated players who will not drop after the first set-back.

Well this will all depend on the amount of players who register. At present only one other person has actually sent me a race file, so size and density will depend on those. Acc BBS is an option I always check.

I want to play too.
What about schedule? I prefer to play 36(48) hours/turn with immediate turn generation if all are present.

I prefer 36 hour turns, because real life can sometimes step in and knock you back a few hours. We can possibly go to a M-W-F when the game gets into the later stages.

Ok, I have sent my file in.
I am ok with the 36 hour turnaround.

I have 4 race files.
There does not seem to be a great deal of interest. I am still willing to play a 2 vs 2 team game in a small universe.
Let me know if you are still intersted please, or if there are any late starters, but obviously I need equal numbers.

Maybe people don't want a random team member? Perhaps most want to pick their team mate, even if it is in-game?
Maybe a rule adjustment that allows you to team with anyone during the game, until a certain date? Just a thought...

Hi Matt
Well my thinking was to stop these pre-made alliances where people have habs, techs and traits worked out so they complement each other and just say "Hey, here is your partner!" "What, you both want the same planets?" - "Neither of you has pen scans!". Ah well, sh*t happens !!
But I think it is a sign of the present stars! community that we are made up of mainly "number crunchers" with pre-designed races and strategies. How many times have you played a game and suddenly a player suddenly states "I can't win any more, so I say player #6 is the winner". He drops - so his allies drop, and the game closes. I look at the end of game results and this player still has 300+ Nubians !!! I have ended some games on the winning side not even having reached Nubian tech !!
I think the situation reflects my thinking in that most of the players I have deem themselves "inexperienced" or "fairly new".
To these people and myself, it is still a fun game and not a micromanagement nightmare that you hope to have finished within 75 years or it becomes too much of a strain on your private life and you drop.
But I digress.........
You in ??
