this has probably been asnwered somewhere already, but just out of interest: will there be new ship and component graphics in freestars, or will you be just using the old ones?

Hey FU (it occurs to me that sounds bad).
Nice images. I noted that on the low-end engines looks like you have something that looks like light emitted from one end. Might be nice to add this add this aesthetic feature for consistency if you have any further desire to edit images (I have basically no visual artistic skill). =)

Copying many of those images would probably run into copyright infringement issues.
I kinda like some of the designs that force user created. IMO, the designs should incorporate some more abstract images. Why should a hyper-modern (future!) ship look like anything we would create today? Why should any vessels be built with an aerodynamic design? Wouldn't most stars! type vessels likely be relying on propulsion techniques, etc. that would have very little resemblance to modern propulsion devices?
