Critical Mass

Skill Level: Intermediate or less. (preferably no complete newbies)

A game where those who have jobs and lives outside of stars! can fight it out within the tight and limiting confines of only a few worlds. Average planet density is 11-14 planets/player. SinicalIdealist think's that this idea should allow the maximal amount of PRT and race design flexibility (w/ the exception of CA).

The game will be hosted on Autohost.
First turns will be daily up until approximately 2430.
From 2430 onward, generation will be Monday through Friday.
At 2460 it will be possible to begin voting for change to 3 gens per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), requiring a majority of remaining players to agree before changing.
Any player who misses more than 4 turns consecutively will automatically be switched to inactive.
Willing 3rd party hosts preferred. Otherwise, I will be hosting.

Universe Size: Variable
- 4-5 Players => Tiny packed
- 6-8 Players => Small Sparse
- 9-10 Players => Small Normal
- 11-14 Players => Small dense

Parameters:
- Slow Tech
- No Acc BBS
- Galaxy Clumping
- Private Scores (not public)
- Random Events

Restrictions:
- no cheats (you can use chaff and split-fleet dodge)
- no pregame alliances
- no CA

(ignore)Email confirmation to gibble at gibble dot net *(Gible only has one 'b' in it)(/ignore)

More thanx to Gakl(SinicalIdealist) who is going to host this for us so please send passworded race file to

gAeL d0T e/i/c/h/l/e/r AtTt juno D0t com

(I trust you'll be able to translate this address.)

Much thanx to SinicalIdealist for typing up and clarifying what I was thinking about doing Smile Yes. I copied it almost word for word. Very Happy (changes in italics)

The difference is that this game will actually manage to get players, unlike mine. Though, I'm starting to consider that I may need to have closer to 15 planets/player to really give a good balance.

If you want to sign them up faster, might help if you change your userid to a girls name and get a pretty icon to match. Wink

I've managed to snag 2 players, myself for "No Impact!"

It's a race!

FYI Gible: You may want to edit this into the post at the top of thread.

For all other players: I will be the 3rd party host for this game.

Send passworded race file to

The race is tied at 4 players each, so both games WILL go ahead YAY Bounce , and I'm still with Gakl, will wait at least two weeks before starting as more players = more fun Very Happy
