How would you rate a CA TT bio cheap HG race for a large dense universe, 6 players with slower tech advances? What kind of CA race would you use for such a game ?

There will be about 150 planets per player . WAAAAY to much for a newbie game. Half of players will drop before turn 50 , other half will quit soon after because of MM overload . Take smaller uni - medium dense should do perfectly: 60 planets per player, enough room to grow in peace for quite some time.
Regarding slow tech: capacity matters more. And make expensive only fields you really don't intend to research to higher levels.
Regarding CA: this PRT's by far the strongest resource monster, perfect for that kind of game. And the most boring also .
