How would you rate a CA TT bio cheap HG race for a large dense universe, 6 players with slower tech advances? What kind of CA race would you use for such a game ?

CA in general is a very powerful and forgiving PRT. If you follow general guidelines outlined in the CA forum, you should be ok. You'll have plenty of green planets and lots of resources. Just make sure you don't focus only on resources - at some point you will have to defend those planets.

There will be about 150 planets per player Shocked . WAAAAY to much for a newbie game. Half of players will drop before turn 50 Nod , other half will quit soon after because of MM overload Nod . Take smaller uni - medium dense should do perfectly: 60 planets per player, enough room to grow in peace for quite some time.
Regarding slow tech: capacity matters more. And make expensive only fields you really don't intend to research to higher levels.
Regarding CA: this PRT's by far the strongest resource monster, perfect for that kind of game. And the most boring also Rolling Eyes .

Yep ... i second. This sort of "newbie" games are constantly boring off potentional new recruits for stars community. Confused Newbies should avoid games with more than 20 planet territories per player. Nod
