Surprised Hi there, im a 10th year noob to this game, hehe, and I wanted to get back into it and I FINALLY found somewhere to buy this game CD Key from (iv been working with the demo for years now), and I have one good noob question.

I like the WM type, and I needed some very basic, very very basic, info on hitting 10k - 25k in 50 turns? It just seems like im new to the math of the game, so its a bit hard for me to even compete with the computer right now. Any and all hints at this simple problem would be greatly appreciated from you vets.

Im working with WM, TT, nAS, GR, RgenS. 14% growth rate and 1/3 hab, one resource per 1100, factories 13/8/10, mines 10/4/9, -1k germanium, Eng/Elc/Prop cost normal, Bio cost 75%, Wep/Con cost -50%

 Go look on the net for articles by Jason Cawley about getting 25K by 2450. They are out there and worth reading.

A few quick tips: first, use 1/1000 pop and 12/9/16 factories, G box checked, until you know what you are doing. And get higher growth - minimum you should be experimenting with is, say, 17%, and you should try 19%. Pay for these things as you must, probably including at least one narrow hab variable. Then scout aggressively to find the planets you'll need.

Great, 5 days later I have gone from 2k by year 50 in non-accel bbs games, to 10K by year 50, and by year 60 20k. This has helped so much. Thanks again.
