I am in a game so I can't comment to specifically, but I have not played this game in years and don't want to testbed this specific instance if another knows the answer.

I have a lot of ships leaving a world in one year. They are all separate fleets moving to different way points. Over 150 fleets are in orbit, but when I right click on the planet to select a specific fleet I can't see all the fleets, only the first 100 or so (maybe the first 128?).

I managed to give orders to all the fleets by giving orders to 50 at a time and then splitting off one ship and redirecting the rest to another way point. I can see blue lines tracing out all their waypoints. So they all appear to have their correct way points.

Will all the ships actually follow their orders even though there fleet #s are so high I can't pick them from planet dialog?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

If all the fleets have been given orders then I would assume that all orders will be followed Smile

The tricky bit is not going over the 35K? limit on an xfile...
I would assume that that has not been accomplished or you would have another set of questions Smile

I agree with Donjon.
Despite the fact that you cannot see the extra fleets, they will still act according to the orders you have furnished them with.

There is a 100 fleet limit with regards to the number you can see at any one position. This is, however, merely a visual limitation.
It doesn't affect the mechanics.

You can still give orders to each fleet and verify that you haven't missed any single ship. Bring up the "Fleet Summary Report" (either through the Report menu or by pressing F3 a few times). Sort the fleets by location and you'll be able to easily see what fleets are orbiting your planet. You can also check the destination field to make sure it's not empty (no orders).

Hi,

there is indeed a 100 fleet limit (like Storm already mentioned, isn't he smart! Wink )

You can still browse through the rest of the fleets by left clicking on the yellow triangle in the bar of the planet name, the one that says "Earth summary". Or like Braindead mentioned: by hitting F3.

Check the Stars! Bug list in the "Must Know" section of the forum. There you'll find the Target List Overload.
