Multiple Tech trade events |

Hi..
The highest probability of events where one can gain tech could be 5 events. So scrapping or pop drop, it would be better to have 5 such events.
But what is the probability when multiple different tech exchange events happen. For example lets say...
5 scouts scrapped with weap
5 scouts with energy tech
5 pop drop planets.
Are these 3 events independent of each other or just result in gaining any 1 level of technology per year?

Tech gain probability is calculated event-by-event.
More events means bigger probabilty to get something, theres always slight chance to get nothing. Once you got something this turn then next events do not matter.
The order of events is:
scrapping,
waypoint 0 pop-drop,
battle,
waypoint 1 pop-drop.
If you need order for similar events im not sure but seems:
Smaller # fleets do drop or scrap first.
Smaller x coordinate battles happen earlier.
[edit: scrapping is first]

Then, of course, there are all kinds of combinations tied in with research....
If you had, for example, generalized research, or an SS race, it is possible not only to gain one through tech-trade, and one through colonisation, but other(s) from standard research, and possible "spying" bonuses...
It's raining tech levels.

Battle order is by Player # then Fleet #, each fleet location is checked to see if there is a battle there, even if you are not involved. I did fairly extensive testing and observation of this for setting up the tech trades for EACvsIRC (8 vs 8 team game).
Also, you can get tech from a battle where you are present but not involved (it happened when we didn't want one player getting a tech, and had him turn off his wolves, but he still got tech from them).
