Ah - so you look through planets and try to remember the "real" clicks based on various reports.
With the 1% accuracy issue I'm still seeing that's not as easy as I'd like it to be...

Personally I don't have a windows PC around, nor a VM. WINE and DOSBox provide Stars! gameplay, all the data processing is done on the command line under linux - one advantage of doing this kind of thing in an interpreted language (rather than a compiled one) is that it easier to port between systems.

One issue I have with alot of the tools I've tried to download (admittedly a limited set) is that they are not really built to pull custom reports - or they just fail to display well under WINE...

That's more or less what my "planet value report" tool does to see what planets are better for what races, be they allied or enemy. Very Happy

While searching on forum for more references to "planet value report tool" I came across this by goober in the bar, about a cannibalized version of Posey's habitability spreadsheet used for calculating planet values.

Does anyone have the spread sheet mentioned?

leonidas.

The problem is the ambiguity of the Grav2Clicks calculation for low Gravs. My little kludge gets the correct "click" value (and hence the correct Hab values) 100% of the time. Cool

That's why I use JavaScript. It's powerful enough, once you workaround the importing of csv files. Very Happy

So many Stars, so few Missiles!

In space no one can hear you scheme! Deal
