Autohost was certainly down for a significant part of yesterday.
As far as I can tell it also stopped games from generating, so there should be no skipped turns.
I'll leave it for others to post exact details.

Mail from Ron to all game hosts:

Mar. 6,

It seems that the SAH server was rebooted by its admin (not me), meaning that turn processing stopped, and some game's web pages were not being shown correctly.

I've restarted SAH programs and things should be back to normal.

Sorry for the delay.

So no turns should have been genned? Confused
Unless the host took the game off hold and the game genned immediately because it was already passed gen time ...?

Lessons from the past was genned.
Made me very unhappy, as i spent yesterday 45 minutes for ordering mineral shipment, which would have kept any mineral shipment being necessary for next 5 turns or so.
But i'm already mailing game host.

Me too... I was unlucky, got maimed move...
spent time on correspondence, and move making...
then tried to submit and nothing was there...
come in this morning and maimed has genned.

rather frustrating...

Embarassed I apologize for not pausing all games before restarting SAH. I've emailed all games hosts suggesting that they allow a turn regen if their players ask.

Is it possible to go more than 1 turn backwards?

I ask because our host is no longer in game, might take some time till he looks mails again.

Yes, you can go back 5 years.

Well, as a host he should keep in touch with his game and players ...

Further question, in case i had done my turn for that year game starts now again, can i use that .X file for upload?
After all, the .m file i used for playing is the same.

There's no reason you can't use the same .x file again for upload... Cool

If there is a regen, the .m file won't be exactly the same, and the .x file is invalid. By invalid, I mean that Stars! won't accept it, not that some things might be off slightly. After a regen, everyone has to redo their turn.

I think Carn meant that if the current game year is 2495 and the turn of year 2494 (or before upto 2490) was restored he could use his .x file for that year. And yes that is possible, the restored .m file is the same, however after that gen all .m files will be different,
