Dear Deirdrie,

Why can I see an AI SS scout ship, if it is 75% cloaked (so it claims), and it is almost at the periphery of scanning circle?

Scanners definitely set to 100%... Shocked

Uh-oh....

Is everybody else aware that SS races seem to detect other ships as 75% stealthed... stealthed or not?

This one big bug if true! Shocked

Actually, in a way, this is a display glitch with the ship design display. What happens is that the display shows the enemy ship design and shows it with the characteristics of your own race. Therefore, when playing SS you see the enemy design as it would be if it were your own ship. However, in the grand scheme of things it makes little difference since when going into battle any competent Admiral runs potential battle outcomes through preliminary simulations - and the simulations use the actual designs Wink

As for the AI SS scout, I doubt that it's an SS scout. Which of the AI races is it?

Yeah.... that's a kicker! But now I know what the deal is...

Wasn't quite sure if the error was in the display or the scanner range...

I think that the AI scout in question belongs to an IS race. Mainly due to the fact that I know all the AI participants are different PRTs, and I've already earmarked the rest of them... Smile
