I have a couple of freighter-related issues... I haven't found anything on the site so far concerning them, but then again, I haven't done a full Sherlock on it. 
Firstly - Mineral transfer from enemy planets.
I was under the impression that only SS races could suck minerals from planets belonging to the opposition. And even then, they had to be equipped with a RB scanner to do it.
In a recent game I played (against the AI), I found myself at a planet with a couple of galleons, and to my surprises, although still populated, I was able to transfer as much of the minerals as I liked to my ships.
Needless to say, I can't remember the exact game or circumstances, but I'll try and go back and find out the specifics. I'm hoping that somebody will save me having to do this, by admitting that it's a known bug, or something... 
Secondly - If you kill an AR starbase... and drop people on the planet in the same turn... your colonists settle the planet without a colony module.
You shouldn't be able to do this, should you?

I'm going to go away now. When I get back, I want at least a hundred replies telling me that I'm very very stupid, and this has been discussed thousands of times here before.

First, I'd have to know what version of STars! you are currently using and whether it's a registered version or not.
Second, I know of no circumstance where you can upload minerals from a planet you don't control unless it is un-inhabited and you have a remote miner in orbit OR, you have a Robber Baron equipped ship in the fleet.
The AR issue is new - I haven't heard of this one. I will test it and if it is indeed a bug it will be added to the known cheats list.
