STARS (2.6J/Autohost) game: Hail and Kill
Fast (4 month) PBEM game for advanced players, seeking some other ways with not-so-economic races (no CA or JoaT races).
Good PBEM experience (3 or more years), agressive and intelligent gameplay required.
Setup:
Large/Normal/Distant for about 10 players Normal start (not ABBS), other boxes also unchecked. Scores opened in 2500.
Game will be created and run on STARS Autohost.
Prepare to send your race files (strictly with password).
Rules:
1. No CA or JoaT races allowed.
2. Only one winner (last man standing).
3. Everyone must fight for its own:
(*) no alliances or trade allowed
(*) since 2400 each player MUST set everyone to "Enemy"
4. Exploiting game bugs is forbidden.
(*) Chaff and Split Fleet Dodge usage are only allowed things
Schedule and turn generation:
Since 2400 1 turn generated at a time.
2400-2500 1 turn per workday (5 turns/week)
Leaving the game (crushed):
Player may leave the game only with no HW, and <10 planets.
All remaining planets must have
(*) Armed starbases (even forts)
(*) Minefields around (for non-WM)
(*) Building queue == [Up to 100 def/Up to 10 mines/Alchemy As Needed].
Game end:
The game continues until all players (except one) surrendered or crushed.
Player must be declared a winner, if after 2500 he:
(*) controls 3 HWs (including its own) AND
(*) has more resources, than all other players together

I can play.
I've been gone for a while and need a game
However one thing concerns me -- those victory conditions will not makre for a "fast 4 month PBEM game". It will take quite a while to achieve that.
I think simply the first player to control 3 homeworlds would be a good enough victory condition, or failing that, the player with the highest score in year X.

I dn't know how out-of-game communication could be prevented.
Secondly, what do you consider as an alliance? Would an NAp be against the rules? Would it matter whether it's a written agreement or just an understanding? Would you oppose several smaller races agreeing among themselves to attack the leading race all at once, but not necessarily owing any favors to each other?

Well since "Reality Sucks" is starting soon I think I'll call myself officially out of the running on this one. I don't wanna overburden myself with MM a month from now.

Since I notice that the host is playing in this game, who is verifying that there are no CA or JOAT races?
If the game needs a 3rd party to verify the races and check after game start that everything is OK I can do so. I can also check turns periodically to make sure that everyone stays set to enemy.
