Rolling Eyes Seems that if you have 3 jihads fired at lots of split out scouts ... then:
when first one hits it destroys 3 scouts and done
when first misses and second hits it destroys 2 scouts and done
when 2 first missiles miss and last hits it destroys only one scout.

however when firing 3 jihads at stack of scouts then if at least one of them hits then 3 scouts are destroyed. Confused

Thinking about that sentence...

Couldn't it be that, as long as no missile hits, it does not yet count for max kills?
Meaning, you have 3 missiles (max kills = 3), the first missile misses > max kills is now 2, if second one hits, fine. But if the second one misses too, max kill is then 1. You get the picture...

I know this sounds weird codewise, but that idea just occured to me as I read your writings

Urk.
Almost sounds like missile damage is streaming from stack to stack, but in fact the opposite is happening.
It is the non-streaming that prevents it being the same case as when you fire at a single, larger stack.

Something like :-
first missile hits - causes damage of 170 Smile
subtract scout (20) - leaves 150
regardless of what the next missile does then we still have some unapplied damage - so second scout is killed
then third scout is killed
then we reach end of missile stack and excess damage is set to zero again

You can see that if the first missile misses and the second hits, then you will only get two kills.

I like the idea. Sherlock
Not sure it fits in with the actual distribution I saw for firing 3 missiles (but we can blame that on sample size for now).
