Hear ye, hear ye:

An HTML version for the Freestars server docs is available at:

It needs some cleanup, but is basically there.

is where I have begun an effort to develop a client by the end of the year Rolling Eyes

The initial round of design notes can be found there as well.

I will try at any rate, and try to drag everyone else along.

Please visit an provide input and assistance. I *am* going to try to get this done.

I've given up on trying to exactly replicate the Stars! race wizard- the formulas are extremly complicated if you can't see the code (just count how many variables they take into account!). I'll get a working race wizard in excel done that replicates the one in Stars!, but the numbers won't match for hab width and growth rate points.

I have complete new ship, starbase and component graphics created by ForceUser for the client I've been working on (though, sadly, very slowly). If you need the graphics, let me know. I also ahve available some rotating planet graphics.

Race Definition File Formal Proposal

I have generated a formal document for the race definition file (such as .r1) Googly Eyes

. It's basically a combination of the two .r1 formats on the Freestars site and placing a few more parameters into the Rules.XML

I am also developing a client but I haven't had time to do much with it. The links to it are in my signature. The alpha version should work with the current FreeStars test files.
