Just out of curiosity: How did he cheat? I want to avoid such problems in the future.

It's a fairly detailed explanation, but you won't need to look out for that one because Ron is on the lookout himself.

Just to allay any fears, cheating isn't a normal thing in Stars. Most Stars players are pretty observant and it's tricky to get away with things. Most cheaters don't really have the patience required for Stars either, so we get to avoid most of the pests. It's more likely that someone would inadvertantly cheat, eg. the minefield cheat. Every so often you see mention of that one and more often than not the player gets a slap on the wrist. Shocked

I accidently exploited the minefield cheat while trying to chaff sweep a minefield. Embarassed
My chaff arrived at their destination and got shredded while my mainfleet (coming from a different vector) got stopped by the minefield. Upon receiving my turn back and finally figuring it out, I notified the host of what had happened. No big deal since it was obviously accidental and it only hurt me.
