Let me in as JOAT. I wanna get expirience too. Smile
But I'm not sure that I can make 2 turns per day.
But if we will generate one 00:00 GMT and another 12:00 GMT,
it could be possible. Smile

I think it means there will be 2 years generated per turn instead of 1 year.
IOW you'll receive a turn for 2400 while the next turn you'll get is 2402, then 2404 etc. So you'll have to plan for 2 years, which isn't that hard those first years and it will speed up the slow beginning where there is nothing to do ...

2Micha: Ok than. But what about:

Hooga worte: "Does that mean there will be 2 generations a day for the first 20 years?"
Pote answer: "Yes 2 turn in 1 day (for acceleration of game)."

2Pote: What does you mean, when you wrote: "With 2400 on 2420 2 turn for 1 day"?

AR is too weak in game with such size. It is 30 planets per player and AR has difficulties with below 40. Play without AR. Otherwise close neighbours kill it easily and get nice territory bonus early.

I would respectfully disagree, for two reasons. An AR would have trouble, true, but alliances must be formed and locked in by 2450. That causes people to think how an AR might be useful in a long-term alliance, which they are, extremely. Secondly, this is a beginner/intermediate game and beginners/intermediates don't like starting wars early. That's what I get from my experience anyway. I know I don't like early wars.

Just thinking from a people point of view as opposed to a game point of view.

EDIT: BTW the reason I said gameplay point of view was that you were talking numbers, and I immediately associate numbers with technical gameplay (especially so in stars!). Just a stereotype I have. I see your points, but it looks like some foolish AR joined anyway Laughing Twisted Evil 2 Guns Dead

I did not talk from peoples point of view and i did not talk from game point of view. Laughing I did try to talk from the AR players perspective. Wink

We both agree with your first reason that AR would have trouble but hopefully be very useful ally (for others) if it ever survive.

The second reason i did get too... you see it better. Rolling Eyes Lets say there newbies, beginners and intermediates have turned into more pacifistic over the years. Nod

So... do these reasons make AR enjoyable to play?

Lets say there are no major wars first 50 years just border agreements and preliminary alliance talks. Our AR player struggles it in the score tail of the rest since no enough space for it and enters the alliance #3.

He knows that there goes immediate message from alliance #1 leader to alliance #2 leader: "We need to kill that team with AR otherwise it gets too powerful". So he is in war after that with 6 enemies and 2 allies.

I would find it very fun to be in the situation described since i am that masohhistic Cool and blood-thirsty Surprised old-timer Twisted Evil. Beginners and intermediates however are turned quite careful with such a war perspective, you said, so they do not apparently want to join. Wink

That's gotta be the funniest translator error I've ever seen! Laughing Well I suppose it makes sense as in drill meaning to test meaning to check. eg. fire drill

Sorry Pote I suppose you mean I should check my email. I will send you my password again. I encourage other players to go faster please I want to get this game started.
