Hey there, friendly development team!

How about posting an update regularly on progress on the FreeStars development? Some of us are interested in the goings on (but might not have the programming vocabulary to follow your various ramblings).

Until recently there hasn't been too much activity. My free time got clobbered by a Stars! game (RWIAB) and by my job.

However the game ended, and work has settled down somewhat, so I've been able to work on it again. Also some new programmers have started working on the client.

I finished mining a while ago (as in extracting minerals from worlds). I then started redoing the xml file formats somewhat, and am almost done. My next project is production. Split fleet is still not done.

Other parts of the host program not yet done:
Big project: Battles

Medium Project with lots of statistical testing required: Random events, including wormholes, MTs, and comets.

Smaller projects:
pop growth/death
Bombing
Fleet transfer
repair

I'm sure I've missed a lot.
