Greetings, I just stumbled on your forums.

As a die-hard 4x and Stars! fan I very much approve of your project - unfortunately I am not a programmer, so I doubt I can help u much.

A question - is your project an open source project?

Perhaps registering on SourceForge may boost your popularity and make it more 'serious' ?

Freestars is open source (we're using the GPL license version 2). It hasn't been registered on Sourceforge yet since there's really only one primary developer right now for the server, and one for a client (LEit and nash respectively). As things develop we'll need to setup some kind of version control and might use sourceforge; we'll have to see.

Hmmm. Does it mean you are not looking for other developers?

From my (very humble) perespective, it is much easier to find a project on SF then in other places (i.e. here). I looked for open source Stars! few months ago, and did not google up this place. Perhaps other ppl who could help more then I are out there, 2, but don't read usenet 2 often (how I found about this place finally) and so cant contribute, even through the would like to?

While sourceforge offers things u may not need now, it also offers a big well known project database and through it a kind of advertisement, that may be what you can use. Just a thought from an amateur, through...
