I'm sorry that this week's puzzles are late.
Only 4 puzzles this time. Get as many correct as you can, and I'll decide how many chances you get to become this week's Puzzle Master.
24 hour timelimit. PM me your answers.
Several pictures this time.
1. The one-digit odd numbers (1,3,5,7,9) add up to 25, while the one-digit even numbers (0,2,4,6,8) add up to 20. Your challenge is to arrange the numbers in such a way that the odd numbers and the even numbers have the same value. You can use +, -, x, /, (multiple times if needed) and also combine digits to make multi-digit numbers. Each digit used only once.

Sorry for the long delay. The power outage really messed up my day.
Out of 3 people that PM'd me all correct answers (overworked, LEit, Mazda), the RNG picks Mazda as this Week's Puzzle Master.
Here are the answers.
1. Multiple answers (sigh, should have seen that one coming).
Book answer 79 + 5 + (1/3) = 84 + (2/6) + 0
Others sent in included: (1+3) x 5 - 7 + 9 = 0 + (2x4) + 6 + 8 and 1*9-7+3-5 = 0*2*4*6*8

3. D. A facial feature appears in the center when it appears three times in the surrounding circles.
4. C. Start in upper right corner, go down column, then up the next, down the next, etc. +3, -1, +2.

Actually I'm glad Mazda won (or at least I didn't win.)
Other than the first question I didn't get an elegant answer to any of the questions. And the 3rd one was essentially an semi-educated guess on my part. On the 4th I detected patterns and used them to eliminate options, but didn't get the actual pattern; i.e. if it wasn't muliple choice there is a decent chance I would have missed it.
Oh well, on to other things.

I didn't use "Ron's methods" either.
For question 1, if you look at the book answer then both sets of numbers use the same operations :- 2 "plusses" and 1 "divide".
I think that's what the question wanted, but it didn't say.
So I sent in the answer that made 22. There must be oodles of those though.
For 4 I went along the rows, not down the columns.
Top row was a pattern -2, -14. 6th row was the opposite, -14, -2.
Second row was -4, -12. 5th row was the opposite, -12, -4.
Third row was -6, -10. QED.
