As promised, I am now ready to host The Wheel of Life V, where I will be non-playing host.
Some of you may remember the games The Wheel of Life I, II and III some years ago (the last of them ended in August 2003). I had really only intended to start one game at that time, but I received rather more than the necessary number of players, so I decided to set up two more games with the same setup and rules then, and that is also why I am setting up one or more Wheel of Life games now.
In short, it is a game for 4 teams of two in a remapped universe, and one of the few games that allows TT CA races without any race restrictions - Except that there can only be one CA on each team.
The full rules can be found here: http://craebild.dk/wolv.html.
Players can either apply as single players or as teams. If you apply as a single player you will be teamed up with another single player, but teams are preferred, so once there are 8 teams, then any single players are out, even if they applied before the last team - But if two single players have applied then they count as a team, of course. When teaming up single players I will attempt to minimize the timezone difference in order to allow easy communication, so it is important that I now which timezone each single player belongs to.
I will offer advice on race design and on the initial orders for 2400.
Please note that this is not a game suitable for beginners.
The game will probably start in May or June, as the teams will have to agree on races and strategy. There will of course be breaks for holidays, this is not game that will be over in a few months.
If there are enough interested players, then I will also set up The Wheel of Life VI with the same setup and rules, and even The Wheel of Life VII, though I doubt there will be enough players for that.

Beekeeper and me would like to sign up for this.
However, our team won't be able to join if it starts prior to mid-May.

Having just finished Sixpack3 with my first win ever, although I took over another player's (ccmaster) position, I would be interested in joining this game. I am a single and living in central USA. Does that make me GMT+5 or GMT-5?

"there will be a forced generation of 50 years"
I can't find what happens during this 50 years time span.
Is it
A. the computer AI takes over and does stuff.
B. Nothing, Pop grows, mines mine, like pushing the F9 button 50 times
I would like to play, I don't have a partner.

As nmid said, it is option B, you set your orders in 2400 and get to open your turn in 2450. The game rules gives certain restrictions on what orders you can give in 2400.
You are welcome to join. I assume you are a beginner, we can hopefully find a more experienced player you can team up with.

I won't be able to join if this starts anytime before May 20th.
I could withdraw my name if there are enough to start without me.
No problems.
Apologies, but I did make that clear at the start itself.

If that's the main goal, then I can think of alternative setups, like allowing an initial 2 or 3 turns, followed by 25 force-genned turns. Or perhaps an initial turn, followed by 15 force-genned, then another turn, then 15 more force-genned. I like the "no combat" initial restriction, but for this galaxy size and amount of races, the "real fun" should start well before year 50.
