I can confirm that. I did again a testbed for that purpose. It took me about 20 minutes to set it and get a part (Langston Shell), 15 minutes to prepare a batch to delete, copy and generate turn, and about 40 reruns to get "a new technology" instead of new tech level. That was the most boring part. IMO it would be faster to use an edited EXE.
