Map Setup:
Medium
Dense
Normal Tech (optional)
Acc BBS
Galaxy Clumping
Public scores year 70
------------
Race Restrictions: IT
Prefered number of players: 8-14
------------
Turn Gen: 24 hours until year 20 (with early submital)
After Year 20: 24 or 36 hour turn gen (with request.)
After Year 50: 24-48 hour turn gen (with vote.)
-----------------------
Rules:
-There will be 5 hills consisting of at least 1 planet each.
-Each Planet that's part of a "hill" will be "genetically enhanced", capable of supporting (with terraforming) ANY race at 100% hab (any level of terraforming tech will do), and having a Mineral Consentration of 255 in all areas.

Have a look: http://www.dd-tech.com/~morthotos/Stars!/Super%20Planet.jpg

-Win conditions, the player (or small team no more than 3 players) that holds at least 4 of the hills at any point after after year 70 will be winner. (holding involves living on it [possibly with a starbase in orbit])
----------------------
Bonus:
The host will be playing as a neutral OWW trade race (IT). And will trade tech, minerals, information, and anything else requested, for a price (a sum of "Interstar Credits" galactic currency that you can earn or spend with me or trade with others.) A neutral stargate network will be forged for any race to travel along. With the simple condition of *NEVER ATTACK THE TRADE MASTER* (me). I'll also monitor the hills and post who's got what as well as player credit balances. (Note: Since my habs are very narrow, a good way to earn credits is by selling locations to or offering up worlds I can live on, stargates will be built on all trade worlds.)
----------------------
After game start it will take me a short (indeterminante) amount of time to calabrate my "equpiment" to start creating the planets, once they are made players are encouraged to submit their first year's turn to me (or sooner if desired). I'll generate the map for 1 year to make sure all is in order. Then send to Ron.

For those who are interested in joining send race files to morthotos@dd-tech.org
For other information feel free to post here. Smile

OH! And this may be of some interest.. Due to some minor complications in the byte that I use to get the hills to have that all encompasing habitation streak you see. Some of the hills may not have that, they WILL have 255 MC and I CAN control the environment on these planets. But sometimes... They might end up with... oh.. MONSTEROUSLY HUGE amounts of minerals of one kind or another. (This is all random, I have no idea how this works. But Tests show it most curtainly does work!)

One test planet ended up with: 0i 36,284,928b 400g Just think of all the mass driver packets or Beamers or bombers you could make with THAT kind of mineral supply!!! (Assuming I leave that in.) Oh.. And there's also the possiblity of random factories and mines, at cost of having that assured 100% habitation (at some point).
I can change the environment to something that people will like though. I have complete control over the current environmental settings. (all of which I'll know in advance)
IS THAT A HILL TO FIGHT OVER OR *WHAT!*
Now if I could just get that pesky HW tag byte to behave.. Smile
(Post a reply here if you wanna see a picture of it.)

I'm just 3 players away from reaching my minimum start size. After that I'll allow a few days more before actually starting. So if any of this stuff interests you. Drop me a line. Or post here...

You should consider banning CA.
A CA inhabiting those worlds would make them 100% when they land, and if some one manages to kick them off, they'd revert to something probably uninhabitable to anyone else.

Actually, When I posted that picture I'd made 3 perfectly identical worlds. Afterwards I... Wasn't able to activate the bug I used to get the worlds to look that way. Oh and to answer your question. No, CA when he was kicked off would leave it as it was. So if I ban CA I might as well ban Tri Immune HE also Smile Or just Tri-Immune. It's really not that much of an issue. Esspecially since (though I'll try and make those) I may have to just stick with transforming them to a spesific habitation (Current plan is "2.00g 100C 75mR") The MC remains the same, but as an alternative bonus, instead of the terraforming I'll just give them some random (possibly massive) mineral or factory/mine bonus. One test world had 666 factories on it at year 0! And I think 2000 mines. I really can't control that very well, but hey! It beats getting zilch! And there's a chance of getting MILLIONS of some kind of ore. So, it's not a TOTAL loss. Smile (That's what I get for exploiting bugs in the data structure, erratic and inconsistant results. BUT FUN ONES! (And I'll make curtain they cause no harm to the game's integrety!))

Okay just send your race file to morthotos@dd-tech.org please include password. Only banned race is IT.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

OH! And just so you all know, as Trade Master, I plan to buy as many OA's as I can from any CA's out there. And I'll sell my terraforming services to others for a fee. (Fee is in Interstar Credits. Not minerals or anything. I'm only going to deal in Credits. Seems far more fair that way, I think.)

I plan on posting a list of what I'll buy and sell and the prices of credits you can earn or spend on a per item basis. (Pen scanners, 97% cloaked ships, IS-10 engines, Ram scoops, Minerals of all kinds, & tech of all kinds. Are on my sell list as well as many more things... Your old ships, minerals, PRT spesific stuff, tech, habitable planets for me, and lots of other stuff I wrote down but forgot, are on my buy list... )

From the Race Wizard: "Terraforming costs you nothing and planets you leave revert to their original environments."

That 'original environments' means the unterraformed environments (adjusted by permaforming) not the original values when the world was taken by the CA.

I've seen it work that way in games. Test it if you don't believe me.

You are correct. But I guess it's a mute point since the ultra terraforming only seems to work on tiny and small maps... I don't know why, it just does. But here's an alternative planet for you guys that isn't screwed up by CA's.
Thank you LEit for that accurate assessment. These worlds ARE after all Exparimental Smile

Here's one of the Alternative "Randomly Enhanced" planets. Some will have more but not less factories and mines (I'll make sure they all have some, and since this time I'm not banning CA I'll have to avoid the cool terraforming I'd originally planned on. But I want you ALL to know that EVERY Hill will have these environmental and MC settings! ALLL OF THEM! (Oh and ignore the terraforming marks, they mean NOTHING!.)
