ZZZt an idea but wondered if anyone would be interested (if so post here, dont mail or PM me)...

Tiny sparse galaxy, no random events, no accel bbs. Max minerals is optional and decided upon by the players.

Every race MUST be a one world wonder race (all shifted far right), no PP PRT, AR is ok but a bad idea. All other prt's (inc CA) are allowed.

I figure this would defo level the playing field between all the PRTs and as such no racial system of leaving excess points will be made.

NO alliances, no peace, no diplomacy. Just war. Winner is last man standing/voted (year 2550). Any interest?

On a side note to Ron: Have you ever been challenged to a game of stars? duel style or just to generally join one. In any case I cordially invite you to a game as you see fit Very Happy

No PP PRT? hehehe

Something tells me Freakyboy has been the victim, wiped out on turn 10 of the game by some unneighborly PP PRT race next door(such as myself) in just such a game. Laughing

Useually the exclusion of PP is due to the fact that once they reach tech 4 in bio (mines) they build mine layers and warships and just keep building and building and building.

A PP with really good mining ability could wipe out all but AR in such a game. Granted warp 7 packets wouldn't do a huge amount of damage... but with enough minerals and time they'd pin down their target and one by one weaken everyone else. Everyone in the game (if a PP was present) would build defenses to start.

With the exclusion of PP I reckon it's fairly balanced...

WM with no real defenses has an advantage in their sheer weaponry.
AR cannot be bombed and can mine better than anyone (no killstarbase battle orders is ESSENTIAL in this game).
SS has the inherit cloak - makes enemies more wary about running everything they have into battle.
HE - cheap cheap cheap cheap research and 40% potential growth rate.
CA - negative terraforming against a OWW is insanely powerful.
JOAT - higher pop = higher resources/mining. Pen scanners too!!!
SD - defenses!!
IS - Breeder fleets (higher weapons cost though)

I left out IT because they got no advantage in such a game.
