i am new and i just want to know if a player that has an unregesterd verson of stars can still host games and if regesterd users can join them.
Confused

i thote trere was something in the game in whick if there is at least one unregestered player in the game, every player would be limited to teck levle 10.
is that right?

 I have a better idea. Go to http://stars.lelv30.net and order up a serial number so you can use the full version. Smile It's definitely worth it.

perhaps try playing the v1.1 that has been released with permision from Jeff McBride. I beleive there is a link to the download right on Ron's own autohost site (KN-2050 central computer). My understanding is that it is full of alot more explots and some larger unbalancing features then the current version, so i would suggest you use the current version. You might not even beable to get it autohosted but that is something that you would have to ask Ron himself about. Just use the Jump to Stars! AutoHost link above to take a look.

You can just buy the serial immediately. Then download the latest version from autohost page or other sources. For example:

Its possible over the phone... for something like 13 dollars.

Time is money, you will waste a lot of effort searcing for playmates with demo. Especially when aquiring the full version is made so easy.

btw, I know how you feel about not having a job and also having to get a present for a younger sister. I was in that same spot a few years ago. I solved my problem however by going over to a friends house and we (along with a couple others) played a hot seat game. Those can actually get quite fun, especially when you have a game of Risk going on when you are not doing your turn, the day just flies by.

sorry Embarassed for being so harsh. it is just a bummer when people say something like,"but it only cost 16 bucks", and you can afford it. i just don't like to be letf out becouse i can't afford it. mabey i can get it in a few weeks. i still hate waiting.
