Hi all!
When it comes to player relations in a game, there are two obvious (and frequent) choices:
1) No comms. No communication with other players. All other races must be set to "Enemy" at all times. No alliances.
This has the advantage of saving a lot of time otherwise spent on diplomacy.
2) Everything goes. No rules at all regarding relationship with other players.
Many players regard communication with other players as a vital aspect of the game.
But there are many possible settings in between. The number of members in an alliance can be limited, the choice of allies can be mandated, communications can be permitted with allies but not with others etc. Nearly countless ideas come to mind.
This thread offers the chance to discuss player's suggestions for "The Blues". If neither of the two standard choices mentioned above finds a majority, we will see if we can agree one something put forware here.

There does seem to be a tendency to allow ingame messages to all players. That makes a certain amount of commentary possible..
