Hi Guys,
I've been having problems with my net/router and the tech support asked me to format my pc to resolve the problem.
Before I formatted my pc (which would make me lose my VM) I genned the universe and sent out the individual game file to the players + sent the game files to SAH for hosting.... using my phone's net!
I did this, so that the game could start, without being held up further. It had already been held up on account of passworded race files, missed submission deadlines etc..
However, my genning and sending out the files lead to 2 problems.
1. I had gotten a good universe 6 days ago but I was still deciding the final positions of the races in the universe so to balance the game...
During the many changes I made, I didn't update the last player list. That lead to 2 players/races - gregz and CA race to get each other's race files.
I'm hoping as communications are not allowed, this will not be negative for the game or either player.
I would request both affected parties not to disclose more information to the other non-affected players.
Instead, please start an email between the 3 of us (the 2 players + me) to discuss any further problems in this matter. I'm open to suggestions to rectify any potential problems arising out of this mixup.
2. When the game is now uploaded, please download the new .xy and .m from SAH. Please do not use the email-ed files to submit your .x.
I've sent the correct race files + correct player list to be uploaded on SAH.
The universe seed remains the same.
For the players who have their positions changed, you are far enough from each other and have other threats which will not let you take any long-term advantage from your exclusive knowledge about the earlier starting position.
My game starts are much smoother than this, but I have had problems this time.. which were futher exacerbated by my not explaining why I was sending out the .xy / .m files in advance... as well as trying to rush the final gen without that final re-check.
I'm sorry for the mixup.

ps - I'm the host and I'm the only one having problems. I'm not playing.
mix up of races between gregz(non-publicised race) and another CA race(unknown player) - ca races have to have max habs as per game setup.

I've gotten new race files from the affected players, cycled through new universes, balanced the player positions again and have sent the (new) universe to Ron.
Please ignore the current ATSR page, which should now be full of jibber... When the new game comes up, I'll send out a group email and hopefully the SAH email + password will be sent out as well.
I know my minefields.. but I'm a chaff sweeper.

Skoormit, I'll sign up for whichever game starts off 1st.
(including the less-mm idea you were thinking up)

My alzheimer might have misleaded me 
. I was only remembering that it's possible to add names to fleets. I have forgotten, that other players can't see this names. Maybe the trick was to rename already scanned ships every turn. But I don't remember exactly about details. I have to step into stars more deep again
