With all that data mining I just noticed that BlueTurbit have userid = 3, at the same time Rons' userid = 1, and there is no user with id = 2, so it looks like BlueTurbit is the very first user of the forum, except Ron. Smile

Userid 2 was probably a test user that I deleted.

I was wondering about current fleet structure from rankings standpoint. Unfortunately this list doesn't contain rank column, so, by using a simple http requester, I got a list of all SAH users sorted by rank - resulted ranks.htm can be downloaded here if someone is interested. Sorry, but this is a temporary url (don't know how to share this file in a better way).

In short currently there are:

1123 Crewmans (4 levels)
57 Petty Officers (6 levels)
25 Warrant Officers (4 levels)
17 - Cadets (4 levels)
1 - Ensign
7 - Lt. Junior Grade
5 - Lieutenant
4 - Lt. Commander
8 - Commander
1 - Commodore
1 - Vice Admiral
1 - Admiral
3 - Ambassadors
3 - Mare Crisium Staff

Edit: Thanks to gible, awful link was replaced by dropboxed one. Smile

Can I request for an anniversary update report, Xyligun Wink ?

It's done now. Link is the same.

BTW: It looks like after forum was upgraded we lost those users with ranks higher then Commander (here is the link to the old report).
And OMG why Ron is not an Admiral anymore?! Shocked

Because the custom code and database modifications I had put into the old version were not done to this version of the forum. I currently don't have a way to force a user to be a certain rank. Well, I suppose I could do it directly in the database itself, but then it would revert when a consistency check was run.

To do it right, I'd have to add a column to the user database table, and add code to the admin UI allowing me to add points to a user's rank level, then add code to the consistency checker to add manual points with number of posts to get final rank value.

I'm not going to bother with manually assigning points to each post, that way was madness.

Is there any way to add community rates to posts?

Too many negative votes on one post (say 5 or 10) and that post is counted as -1 to the poster, instead of +1?

Not that we have a lot of activity here, but it could be a useful feature.

Not built-in, no. Can you actually vote negative now?

What exactly defines that somebody is shown as "retired"? There are an awful lot players marked as retired and for some I can't really imagine retirement... from Stars?!

Retired means - no posts on this forum, for the last year.

No, unfortunately. Not until I install the forum update, then write some code to handle manual rank point editing.

So, how it works then? I'm just wondering since I've just earned a new rank somehow.

I'm reasonably sure it's based on post counts... hence we need a penalty for spam or useless posts.

Yes. Currently its based solely on post count.
