I was wondering how I go about getting the full game? I played it years ago and would like to play again with all the updates.

Nope.. just grab the jrc4 version and you are good to go.

"STARS26JRC4.ZIP is the complete J RC4 beta exe file ( English-registered shareware) that is being used on AutoHost.(Stars! 2.6)"

I know my minefields.. but I'm a chaff sweeper.
I used to curse when I got stuck in traffic... till I realised I AM traffic.

If you have trouble running Stars! on a fairly-new machine, look in the Academy area for a sticky thread about "Window 7 64 bit".

Heading there now. I installed virtual pc, but the only thing mine does is open an empty folder. When I copy the .exe into the folder and try to extract, nothing happens.

Hi Zeke.

Your virtual pc should be running Win XP or one of the earlier versions of windows for stars to work. (This is on account of Stars not working on a 64 bit OS. It requires a 32/16 bit OS to work)

Also, you need to grab:
STARS26JRC4.ZIP http://starsautohost.org/files/stars26jrc4.zip
All the supporting DLLs + stars calculator (zipped) - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25855891/Star%20Dlls%20% 2B%20Calc.zip
Stars Help file - http://starsautohost.org/files/e27ihelp.exe

I'm unable to locate the complete set of dll / complete version on kn-2050... I must be missing it in one of the links :s
(but I do remember that you can run stars26jrc without any additional files).
