Ran the Stars-R-Us website years ago

 Not sure if many folks that remember the Stars!-R-Us days are haning around here. A friend of mine stumbled on my lost nostalgia for the game and we went a-lookin, and - krikey!!! - people are still playing it! (Even better is still finding remnants of the website I ran 15 years ago.)

So...

Looks like I'm digging out my old retail copy and breaking out the mass drivers and jump gates. I'll be sure to use this *excellent* resource to get back up to speed on things.

heh...aside for the article database at Stars!FAQ & the wiki, I do(or did) have a mostly complete copy rebuilt from the www.archive.org snapshots. crisium.com too..tho less complete.

 It would be really cool if someone had a backup of all the articles that are missing. I miss having to mine fuel.

Back then I had my own site (Stars!Web). I don't remember how much overlap we had with StarsRUs. But I still have a full backup of all my data - from articles to game results.

Seeing that there are quite a few broken links on that list, I'm sure it will fit. However, if you want a functional site, there is more work required. Right now it is sitting on an old machine in a somewhat functional state. The library has about 60 articles.

As long as none of the broken links have "Archive:" before them and all of the external links(with the wormhole/arrow icon) are broken, it's as intended.
