I'm just the new guy here, but it seems like it would be useful for each forum member's timezone to be publicly available. I would think that would make it easier to coordinate setting up games as well as diplomacy.

Thoughts?

Good point. I often ask my fellow players what time zone they're in, mainly to get a sense for the best time to communicate, but also to get expectations on responsiveness. It's something the forum captures in the profile; why not show it, indeed!

Yes, it would be helpful, but I don't see a way to make the forum software show user's time zone. I believe the forum only uses it to correctly display the timestamp of forum posts for you when you log in.

Thanks for checking, Ron.

One easy alternative is that users can specify their timezone within the location field. e.g. GMT -7

Greetings, mighty Void from Chihuahua. Cool
No thanks. I enjoy much more seeing where people are from. It only takes a few seconds for me to figure out their time zones, if I know their location.

LOL. Why do I have "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" ringing inside my head, now?

Is that better?
