Dynamic Duos is getting a fresh start. Here were the rules from the first game:

Race restrictions, CA and IT are banned, Joat cannot take NAS. You cannot take HE factoryless. This means you cannot have factories worse than the default of 10/10/10 and no GR above 10(20)

All races other than your teammate must be set to enemy. No communication with anyone other than your teammate.

No tech trading with anyone other than your teammate. Only one race per player, you can however submit your allies turn if necessary, like when your ally is on vacation, too busy at work, etc.

Other game settings are as follows:

- Distant players position
- AccBBS
- random events on
- PPS off.

Standard cheat disclaimer, which means that the following cheats are allowed:

- chaff
- split fleet dodge
- merge fleets after gating
- Mine damage dodge

Turns would be MTWTF until 2430 or someone requests a slow down. From there they would be MWF.

Condition of victory, PPS being turned on at 2500 and then a vote. If there is no clear victor, we keep playing until there is a clear victor by vote.

Universe will be medium size. Final density will be determined by the number of total players. We aim for 25-30 planet per player.

Please post or email me if you want to play in this game. The host might play in this game. I haven't decided yet. It depends on time commitments that I should have resolved in the next few days. I will post once I know for sure.

Thanks,

David

A special rules team game is not the best choice for a beginner, especially if that would be your first game against humans. The Fledgling Admirals game would be far better suited, but I see you only got onto the waiting list.

I suggest you send in your race for the Fledgling Admirals game and hope to get a place there, and wait for another beginners game if you don't get a place in the Fledgling Admirals game.

It is of course up to you and the host of Dynamic Duos Redo, that is just my advice.

Hi all, me and a friend of mine would like to join. We will play as a team. Are there 2 spot still free for a new team?

Thanks.

Ok, teams so far

ManicLurch / Orange
Tabini / Siltano
rolfverberg / NEEDS TEAMMATE
Gianluca /Ccmaster
maxfra / a teammate not yet named

That is 5 teams, we can have a max of 8 teams in this game, so only 3 team spots left.

Craebild is right, this is probably not the game for an absolute beginner. If you find an expert willing to take you in as a teammate then maybe it would work, but that would be a lot more work for that expert. Your best bet would be to jump on the next beginner game that comes up and submit your race as an alternate for the Fledgling Admirals game.

If anyone is interested in teaming up with rolfverberg, send him or myself a message.

Donjon has agreed to do the set up for this game again. Thanks again to Donjon for his help.

As you can see, host is playing in this game. If anyone playing is uncomfortable with that, I will look for a 3rd party to host.

Hi all, i'm the team mate of MaxFra.
Just a question : Will the 2 races allied start near each other (or distant - or random?)?

Awww, why so limited? Confused

If you want to play and propose a different scenario, we can talk about it and vote. You do realize that 25-30 planets per player is effectively 50-60 planets per team?

I'd say Medium could be enough for 5 Teams. But for 6 or more Teams, Large would allow for a lot more playing room. Twisted Evil

The first Dynamic Duos had 7 teams in a medium dense universe. I think 6 teams would fit perfect in a medium universe. I don't think we want to be too far away. Being somewhat close and the no communication rule meant a lot of early battles in the last game, which I think made it more fun than everyone growing and waiting for just the right time to fight.

Are you saying you want to play if the universe is large?

Hi ,

no lage univers !

Lage univers makes it more time consuming and you need more MM at all.

If we go for Large Univers Gianluca and I would not play.

Also I am sure several of the other players would not do but

not sure about this part. ( Say something Razz )

My preference is medium as well. I just wanted to see what m.a@stars interest level was for this game. We had a pretty good game going the last time, I don't really want to change much. I would like to see one more team so we have 6 teams.

That would have been the idea, but alas I've had more than enough cramped knifefights for the time being. Confused

You guys have your good fun without me. Dueling

How many teams are playing to this game at the moment?

I agree not no increase the universe to large (too time cosuming) but would not let more than 10 players (5 teams) in a medium universe ... otherwise it would be too crowed.

When is the deadline to send races file?
At what email address do we have to send the race files?
Will the host play?

It appears we have 7 teams

ManicLurch / Orange
Tabini / Siltano
rolfverberg / NEEDS TEAMMATE
Gianluca /Ccmaster
maxfra / a teammate not yet named
Mac1 / Skandal
akaduda /

We are playing in a medium universe. Final density will be determined by number of players.

Quote:

A deadline hasn't been set yet. I wanted to see the final number of teams. The final number of planets per player and the total number of players would be a factor with most players designs. Once we have final teams, we will set a deadline.

Quote:

Email the race files to Donjon. donjon1#at#gmail#dot#com

Quote:

Yes I am playing. However if this makes anyone feel uncomfortable, I will find a 3rd party to act as host.

Quote:

Yes that setup worked fine for the last game. 6 teams would also fit quite well. I think 6 or 7 teams in a medium universe will be the ideal setup.
