Kaloth & Coyote (maybe) expressed interest. I am giving the last team to TheShadow7478 since he was one of the first to sign up for this game. The last spot is his partner, so contact TheShadow7478 or post of the forum if you want to be his partner and have the last spot in the game.

It looks like it will be medium packed with 8 teams. Lets get our races finalized and emailed to Donjon (thank you to Donjon for volunteering to set this up). Send him a password protected race file and provide him with the password.

No news on the last team so far. I would like to see the last team in, but we can't wait forever. I would like to set a deadline of this weekend for the last team to be announced or else we will proceed with 7 teams and medium dense universe.

I'd like to request that Galaxy Clumping be turned on for this game. This is in no way a deal breaker for me, I just like having the "terrain" that clumping creates.

IMO clumping favors races with IFE (scouts with the FM can make the warp 8/9 run from one clump to the other and then regain fuel moving from planet to planet in the clump), races with penscan (you can get and entire clump worth of planet data at once), SS (as Micha says, more open space to hide in), races with ISB (grab one or two planets in a clump, put up SD w/gate and control the clump).

On Edit: Oh, and SD as there's more open space/vacant lanes in which to lay and detonate MFs without impacting orbits.

also for no clumping.

And there are much more differents in racedesine and gameplay
then sold so far.

some more :

... You will have more green planets in 1 year jump
... You will see the enemy coming they have to fly in space or at least you have only to cover 1 planet in the cluster that you see them arriving

and 1000 more thinks about strategy gameplay and racedesine you have to change for this.

Regarding clumping, it was not in the original announcement so we won't have clumping.

I set a deadline for this weekend to have final teams, so it looks like we have 7 teams. My apologies to TheShadow7478 for not getting in, but we need to get this game started.

To recap, final game setup is:

Medium Dense

Race restrictions, CA and IT are banned, Joat cannot take NAS. You cannot take HE factoryless. This means you cannot have factories worse than the default of 10/10/10 and no GR above 10(20)

All races other than your teammate must be set to enemy. No communication with anyone other than your teammate.

No tech trading with anyone other than your teammate. Only one race per player, you can however submit your allies turn if necessary, like when your ally is on vacation, too busy at work, etc.

Other game settings are as follows:

- Distant players position
- AccBBS
- random events on
- PPS off.

Standard cheat disclaimer, which means that the following cheats are allowed:

- chaff
- split fleet dodge
- merge fleets after gating
- Mine damage dodge

Turns would be MTWTF until 2430 or someone requests a slow down. From there they would be MWF.

Condition of victory, PPS being turned on at 2500 and then a vote. If there is no clear victor, we keep playing until there is a clear victor by vote.

Now that we have final universe settings, let get our races in to Donjon ASAP. Thanks again to Donjon for helping with this.

How close together will the allied HWs be? To ask another way, will the HWs simply be swapped about so that allies are closer to each other or will HWs actually be moved to be very close to each other. If they are simply being swapped about, what is the HW distance (Close, Moderate, Farther, Distant)?

The original announcement had distant starting positions. We won't be moving HWs closer, just swapping to ensure that teammates start next to each other.
