Some clarification would be needed, is it this turn (where Coyote has already submitted) Coyote is banned from ?
If a third party is to edit the turn file, then that third party would need Coyote's upload password, which you can deliver as host, and if Coyote has password protected the game files (standard practice with a playing host), then the third party would also need to get the game password from Coyote.
I can do that editing, if Coyote sends me his game file password. I will of course also check that battle board overload actually happened first.
The simplest way to ensure that I can download and upload the necessary files while Coyote cannot upload a new turn file for this turn after I have uploaded the edited turn is that you change Coyote's upload password and inform me of the new upload password you have set. You can then either set the upload password back when the new turn generates, or inform Coyote of the new upload password.

I already uploaded the turn yesterday with scrap orders. Like I said in the email I sent you, you can confirm this by checking the Kong's turn for a message saying ships were scrapped at the planet. You're his teammate, you can figure it out.
I still think this whole thing is overblown - it was an accident due to careless chaff-sweeping, if I had intentionally been trying to avoid battle with that handful of ships that were left out I wouldn't have attacked with them in the first place. This stuff happens. If it was a situation where it could logically be called abuse of rather than accidental encounter of battleboard overload things would be different. Anyway - you don't need a third party to check this. Just start the game up and let's play.
Also - there's another chaff-sweeping situation in progress that I can't change, so split chaff will appear at the planet rather than outside. There's not as many so it shouldn't overload, but if it does due to more players being present I wouldn't be surprised if I get banned from the game for good.
Meh. This is what I get for taking a long break from Stars! and forgetting some small details that become important, I guess.

Yes I am sure you will scrap but the point of a ban penalty is that you are not allowed to do your turn which is why i need it to be checked.

If the beginner on your team did this maybe it would be excusable with just the scrapping of ships but either way i was told a ban is standard thing to do. Everyone will get a ban if they break a rule/ use cheat.
Lets say someone use's the free star base cheat and then get cought and I make them scrap all there SB's and not ban them one turn but then someone else does it. I make them scrap all there SB's and ban them one turn.
The penalty has to be the same for everyone. I cant just say ok guys in the future from here and out you can use the battle board overload and the penalty will only be scrapping a few ships. (or that there penelty will be harsher then yours)
craebild plan sounded good.

EDIT:
I was told a ban was standard thing to do. But now the two guys say they want to continue the game as well.
If by chance everyone wants to take game off hold and with you just scrapping but in the future they have to scrap whats not suppose to be there and take a ban from here on out let them speak up and I have no problem with taken game off hold.

Ok, my 2 cents.
Banning is not "the standard thing to do". Each host goes with his own rules. There are things like blatant cheating however (hacking the race files, playing two races without telling, ...), yes those would call for an immediate ban for the rest of the game.
Chaff sweep can go wrong, and I would judge it more towards "damage done". You don't want to scare your players away with hard punishment for small mistakes that have little to no effect on a battle or on the course of the game. Scrapping the offending fleet already might be enough, banning for a turn might be too much.
(Of course if the offending fleet is an entire warfleet with 1000s of nubs that only faced a weak fort ... a scrap would of course be too much. )

So I make up my own rules and its not standard to ban him? Alright ill file that away for future reference.
This time is just the scrapping of the ships, next time will be a turn ban for overloading the battle board. This is because i heard that overloading the battle board can permanently ruin the whole game files so i dont want this to happen again in future.
Ill start up the game sense coyotee said he already scrapped the ships.
