Welcome to Autohost.
There doesn't seem to be any beginner's games starting up right now, but there will probably be something starting soon, you should keep an eye on the "New games" section.
I don't have time to start up a new game myself right now, and when I start up a new game as host it will probably be a new game in the "Wheel of Life" series, which would probably not be the best choice for a beginner, unless you can get an experienced teammate. That experienced teammate might actually be me, if I choose to play as playing host, but that is of course up to you, and I am not certain I will be playing as playing host.

Hi everyone.
I would also like to take part in beginners game (have just played several times with computers).
However I'm facing some problems.
1. Acquiring the needed executable files to be able to play on autohost. At this page http://starsautohost.org/abouts.htm
it is stated that I can get full version of stars! from Empire Interactive. But the link provided (and the site itself) is dead. Then I've started browsing the forum and found that all the needed files are available at KN-2050 ( http://starsautohost.org/kn2050.htm ). There I can see the following file "STARS26JRC4.ZIP is the complete J RC4 beta exe file ( English-registered shareware) that is being used on AutoHost.(Stars! 2.6)". Is it the one I should use? Why is it "beta" if it is used on autohost?
2. Acquiring serial number. As it seems I can get serial from Ron Miller by donating a small sum of money. I don't mind donating but the problem is that I have no PayPal account (in our country it is a kind of problem to register one). However I have webmoney account. Is there a way I can donate from it? Or maybe I can be helpful in some way to the community?

Welcome to you all.
One of the things you need to play Stars! online is patience. Patience waiting for a game you like to start. Patience waiting for a plan to develop in a game (can take weeks of RL time sometimes). Patience waiting for Autohost to unfreeze or the game to be taken off hold from a freeze (I am practicing this form of patience now, and filling in my time being welcoming in the forum).
I'm not sure how long it will take for a beginner game to get going. Sometimes they start within a week or two. Sometimes it takes longer.
You may loose a bit of interest, and a game can be posted, and then you miss it (has happened to me). You may want to subscribe to this thread. Then I (and maybe some others) might post here if we see a new beginner game going up in the "new game announcements" forum.

Well, I'm not afraid of everyday checking game status and emailing people in some cases (if it is all a host needs to do).
The bad thing is that I have no hosting experience. Besides in about a month or two I'll be away for a week. I don't know whether I will have internet access during that week.
So in case there is no better host volunteer I can take it.
