 This is going to be a classic game dedicated in particular for beginners, also advanced beginners and rusty oldtimers. Beginners are players who played not more than 2 games vs human. Advanced beginners and rusty oldtimers (please let us know your experience) need to be approved by host or co-host. Advanced beginners and rusty oldtimers are obliged to leave 40 RW points to defences.

Conditions of the game:
- Medium
- Normal
- Distant

- AccBBS
- No random events
- No PPS

Restrictions as to races:
- CA, AR as PRT is banned
- Joat cannot take NAS

Other restrictions:
- Standard cheats disclaimer (i.e. only split-fleet-dodge and chaff is allowed)
- No pre-game alliances

Winning conditions:
- One winner only
- Winner is declared in unanimous voting of the other active players

Turn generation schedule:
- M-F at 2 p.m. GMT
- M-W-F on demand but not earlier than the turn 2425
- Major holidays are free from generations

We are looking for 8 – 10 players.

The host is paul_ik and he plays. Iojho is co-host, he will also check races. Please send race files to: iojho (at) aim (dot) com

The game will be put at SAH.

We want to begin ASAP.

 I'm interested.
I have played two games against humans a few years ago (winning the first in an allied victory, got owned in the second), so I'm of a fourth type - "rusty beginner". Smile

 I can't wait to start the game too, but stars! is a real-life-friendly game so lets give a chance to those who were absent for some time. I'll email again to those beginners who were willing to play the game. slimdrag00n will join us in some time.

Look at the other game announcement. None of them started in a few days. And the game itself is not fast paced, taking several months.

Yeah sometimes games take couple weeks to get ready and get players. Once we get more players then we all need time to make races as well.
For my self maybe if we get the other players this week and then the next week is given for us to make and test races then hunting season will be about over and ill have time to play.

One game to about year 20, it was canceled so that doesn't really count. We restarted and are on year 59. So basically my experience is just this one current game that is not complete.
Throw me under the beginner category.

experience is a few games with my brother but never against anybody else. We both started playing at the same time too so not really much room for learning.

 can we form alliances in game? it doesn't say anything about that in the rules, just that you can't before the game starts. Would I be correct in assuming that alliances in game are OK?

[edit] Why does nobody allow CA?
is it because it would be way too easy?

 Yes, it would be correct.
No pre-game alliances restriction means that players are not allowed to optimize their races for future alliance with particular player.
There is no restrictions on in-game diplomacy, however please note that only one player can be a winner.
