Cool, we need more games.
I'll pass on this though because I like tighter maps and public player scores takes a lot of the intrigue out of diplomacy.
A medium sparse with 6 players wouldn't be too bad though size-wise.

A large universe means a long game, especially with so few players and AccBBS not checked, and as Coyote mentions, Public Player Scores takes a lot out of the diplomacy part of the game.
You should take a look at the game settings for other games suggested here to get a better idea what is normal, your choice not to check AccBBS will also make the game take longer, as the players will have to build up their economy from a much smaller initial population.
In addition, Player distance: Farther could place two HWs within 81ly of each other, you should use Player distance: Distant to ensure that HWs are a sufficient distance from each other.
If you stick to your "no restrictions" rule, you will probably find a lot of TT CA races in the game, the restrictions usually found in games are there to balance the game, in order to avoid specific race types being far superior to all other race types.
I do not have time to play in another game right now (especially not a long game high in MM), so I will have to pass on this game, too.

It might make AR more playable, and HP a good option too. Same for the wide open spaces.

all those who've pm'd include:
SlimDragoon,
Goober,
Coyote,
Dayng1,
Depending on the replies..
we may have 3-5 players in a medium sized game...should be good
also dependant on the amount of players is Victory conditions, in this case suggestions would be great...along with players personal bugs/exploits that they wish to be banned...

I'll not play in this, so don't wait for my race file. Thanks anyway though. If I had fewer other things going on, then I would.

einherJOCK might well mean the Glasgow Rangers but he's a yank so maybe he's a NY Rangers (Ice Hockey) or a Texas Rangers (Baseball) fan?

IMO, the only exploitable bugs/cheats that should be permitted are:
Chaff
Split Fleet dodge
Repair after gating with merge

I suggest that you start with max. 24 or 26 hours at the start. Turns take only a few minutes early on so you'll probably get 10+ turns done in the first week if you do that.

I doubt Ron has any problem with allowing longer waiting time, the comment about securing a spot on Autohost before setting up the game is from an earlier time when there were more games. Autohost can handle up to 100 simultaneous games, so with only 25 active games right now there is a free slot as soon as Ron gets the request.
Asking for two more weeks might get one or more players interested in another game before you start, though, especially if it a similar game and they have already designed their race. You need only wait until the game is full, and then give the players 5-7 days to finish their races, that should be quite sufficient.
As you are as I understand it a playing host in this game, all races submitted should be password protected, and you should not be told the race passwords. In that case you might request a third party to set up the game, and that third party might also keep a record of the race passwords in order to check any accusations of cheating, as well as keeping copies of the .m files sent out and .h files from every race each 5 years or so, in order that the sudden dropout of a player does not cause undue delay in getting a replacement player up to speed. I could be that third party, but I do not have time to look into game files all the time, they would merely be stored for possible future reference.
With regard to your not checking where einherjock lives, that is only possible if the poster has listed that in his/her profile, and you have not. It is a good thing to list that, as some players here know where a lot of locations are in terms of timezones, and I know that if I want to reply to a post, then I often take the timzone into account - If the poster is likely to be asleep, then I don't hurry, but if the poster is likely to go to bed soon, then I will hurry. You do not have to list an exact location to tell others which timezone it is, I do not need to to tell others I am in Copenhagen, Denmark, It would be enough to have written Western European Timezone (as opposed to England, Ireland and Portugal in British Timezone or eastern european contries on timezones further east than Denmark).
