Oops Embarassed

I thought that neilhoward had submitted his race file but he hadn't.

He has now! Smile

10 Players have sent valid race files:

magic9mushroom
Combat
craebild
Zilly
Xelot
Airny
Eagle of Fire
Raindancer
Sully
neilhoward
Daffel ...... need race file

No word from Daffel which is disappointing since it was he who wanted a standard game with short starting NAPs.

If Daffel does not respond by the deadline (only hours to go) we'll go with 10 players.

Edit: neilhoward has submitted a valid race.

Race file deadline has passed.

There will be 10 players as Daffel has not responded. Hopefully he will join All Quiet II.

I will generate the game tonight if I can (it's Fri 19:00 - I might go out) but definately by the morning.

I will then send the games to Ron for setting up on SAH and will manually send out the starting files for each of you so that, when Ron has done his thing, your first turn is ready for submission.

When you see your starting positions some will be pleased & others will not. Hey, with 10 players in a medium universe you can't all get a cosy spot

Oh, and btw. Should we have all players say which race they are? Might make things a bit easier.

The game page normally lists both race name and player name, so if you have already sent the game files to Ron in the usual format, then we can just look at the game page to see who's who. I agree that it is easiest if we all know who's who.

Everyone remember: Set battle orders to attack only enemies, and keep all other races set to neutral.

When Ron has set up the game I will list a few things on the game page including the battle order requirement which BTW applies to all battle orders not just the default one.

I won't list everyone's email. You can send in-game messages with your email address to begin email dialogues.

Ron usually takes a few days for setup but can take a little longer (or shorter). He does this as a hobby so priority goes to his real job.

Do we want a private forum for this game?

For those who don't already know, my email is magic9mushroom@gmail.com

I'm on a fair bit, so you can count on me seeing your email within 24 hours at the latest.

Won't take offense to game-related emails, even if they're just "Hello".

And YES, private forum please.

My opinion is that player names should be hidden, and that we only know whom we are near by their race and how they play.

Initial contact and [later] email addresses can be exchanged via game messages.

From other postings I am guessing that I will be in the minority.

P.S. If you are going to send me a game related email, please put "All Quiet" in the subject line.

P.P.S. What would be the purpose for a private forum?

Lets have a private forum because:

1) We could talk about general ingame stuff there
2) It should be for all All Quiet games and perhaps they would like to have a private forum too.
3) Things related to the game rules could be important for All Quiet II and they can avoid misinterpretations then.

I just took a look at the Fledging Admirals, that convinced me.

Well, I could've made the the player list anonymous but I normally don't so didn't even think about.

I can't see the harm in a private forum & a few players seem to want it so it has been requested.

You should already/soon have an email from Ron with your up/download password. If not let me know.

You can now upload your first turn. The game will stay on hold until everyone has uploaded it but don't take too long (please).

A private forum has also been established & I will email you all with the posting password. Note that postings to the private forum are passworded but everyone will be able to read it.

Enjoy the game!
