Was thinking huge map normal density, as for how many clusters the clusters are 5-10 so average 7 per cluster so divide however many planets are in Huge-normal density by 7 and thats how many clusters there are, and could you post it here I forgot the exact # of planets for that setup. Rolling Eyes

Just did a test creation of the universe as you have stated in this thread.
Under the following parameters:
240 ly dist between inner planets (3 yrs travel @ W9)
320 ly for the next ring (4 yrs travel @ W9)
400 ly for the next ring (5 yrs travel @ W9)

You can only fit ~37 clusters in the galaxy
A huge normal uni is 800 planets, so that would make an average 21 planets per cluster

I have a sample bit map, but do not know how to post an attachment

With 21 planets per cluster it sounds like you need to use a tool that can stretch the size of the universe.

yeah....

Huge spare would be already more planets than is comfortable. And you might just be able to fit them in to your parameter of 5-10 per cluster, and the travel ranges.

More planets than huge sparse just makes late game micromanagement for the leaders unbearable.

I'm not playing, so feel free to ignore me, but what I think would work best in most games is: No limit to allies, but only one player is declared the winner. Winner may thank anyone they want after the game is over.

It's also very simple to explain and manage for the host.

On a related note, the victory condition I like is that a player may declare victory and if no one denys that victory, then they win. If they do, the declarer then needs to prove to the denyer why they should win... Usually with an invasion.

One problem with this is that it may take a while to exterminate a player, but the game is already over, so a stubborn player could drag the game on past the point of it being fun for anyone.

I prefer single victories, and wish that more people would just use the victory conditions available at game creation. Exceed second place by 100%, at least 50 years: works for me. Turn PPS off if you want everyone to be paranoid. Turn PPS on if you want everyone to gang up on the leader and drag the game out longer.

Then let it be rule "outer race can have not more one ally (or no ally at all)". It will be enough? Or we must set max number of outer races.

I say no limit to allies because no one will know the political climate untill the game starts going. If 12 of the 16 races are outer rim and they may not ally then thats going to leave 4 races in the core with huge econs and the ability to ally ... seems that would be unfair. Also there is no rule about a outer rim race allying with a core race or whatever. The idea is that your political behavior will affected not only by your choice of race but also by everyone elses choices as well. I was thinking of a win condition that a alliance has to hold 80% of the planets.
