WP-0 minesweeping?

Does minesweeping also occure as automatic WP-0 action if the ships don't move but are within a minefield?

Or is all minesweeping done as shown in the order of events:

I don't remember a method of sweeping before movement (except chaff sweeping). But I may be mistaken...

The Order of events is right for minesweeping. Test it if you need to be sure.

And chaff sweeping happens during movement, not before.

yeah. There is no such thing as wp0 sweeping. The ships will sweep with their beams, but only AFTER movement. Only way to clear a field before your fleet moves through it, is using crash-sweepers (aka chaff sweeping)

Well, years of strong belief were already shattered by the events of the last turn in a game, nevertheless... there was hope.

Nope. If the laying party sends skirmishers to kill your sweepers and your ships are destroyed there won't be any sweeping. Twisted Evil

wow..i didn't know this..no wonder those old ships i set inside enemy minefields to sweep didn't do anything:p
