It looks like they just dropped. With regard to Charlottes, as far as I know, they were not attacked. Reason why Philip withdrawn from the game is not connected with Charlottes' general situation, which probably was not so bad.

I hate to say it but if you are going to play this game regularly then get used to drops from players without saying anything. This also includes some who class them selves as amongst the better payers around.
