The image function on this board was intended for bitmaps posted within the message (pasted into). The function has been disabled by Ron since the forum would use up way too much space if people were posting all sorts of images in posts (ship designs etc.)

Hmm - medium dense - I'm willing to play it at medium dense also.
So, count me in. I'll mail AE a race over the coming week-end if that's not too late.

Before the game beginning I would like to attract your attention on the turn generation schedule. According to the game announcement, turns will be generated on daily basis at least till the turn 2440.
Please, take into consideration that the pace of the game will be rather fast without day of rest.
Should we discussed the turn generation schedule?

While the game announcement says generation after max. 24 hours until 2440, I do not think iojho will protest extending the time limit for submissions if the majority of the players request it. I don't know who he is, though, all I know is what he has written in this thread.
On the subject of when generation times should be, I have seen games that generated a new turn at midnight MTWTF. Since I have more free time in the weekends than on weekdays, that would not be an optimal schedule for me (though I would have a lot of time for planning every 5th turn). I can understand why a MTWTF schedule would be desirable if the players only have internet access from work, but how many Stars! players are there, who only have internet access from work at this time ?
There are three other points which I am a little curious about.
Which time zone does each player live in ? I live in Denmark, which is GMT+1 (after we end daylight savings time tomorrow night, and until the last weekend in march when we change back to daylight savings time).
Will iojho set up a "Private forum" for our game on Autohost, in case we have something to discuss ? And how many of us players might want such a forum ? Such a forum would not only be a place to discuss problems about the game, it could easily also act as a "news service" where each race posted in-character messages about important events that might interest other players. There should of course be a ruling on what information can or cannot be postede there.
What are the rules (if any) on contact between players after the game starts ? Are in-game messaging the only method of contact allowed, must first contact be made through in-game mesaging with further contact by e-mail or instant messaging (such as ICQ, or Windows Messenger from Micro$oft) allowed, or is any method allowed at any time ? I think that detail should be discussed, and a ruling decided, before the game starts.

What I would like to say is that everyone should be aware of the trun generation scheme which is fast especially before the turn 2440.
Please, think over if you manage to follow the pace. I would not like to come across the situation when someone does not have time to upload the turns and finally gives up. This will result in the game delay or even will unbalance the game.
Of course, if majority deem the pace as too fast. The turn generation schedule will be adapt to your needs.
For instance the game could be put into hold during Christmas and New Year as well as other holidays. This issues will be discussed further during the game.
With regard to the game forum - it will be set up as you want.

Hi,
As I have been informed by Alter Ego that 11 files were submitted so far. We are only waiting for Marduk and Ptolemy.
Please, send race files asap.
By the way, if someone more is interested in the game, it is last time to sign in.
Thx
iojho

Hi all,
Tomorrow, I will generate the game not waiting for laggers as soon as I get the files from Alter Ego. Then I will send the files to Ron.
